I’m delighted to announce that I’ve joined Nyobolt, the leader in ultra-fast charging energy solutions,  as an advisor.

What really excites me about Nyobolt goes way beyond material science, chemical composition, and incredible performance.

It is the team of highly energized people led by their CEO and Co-founder, Dr. Sai Shivareddy and Co-founder and Chief Scientist, Dame Clare Grey.

When I stepped back from the industry last year, I wasn’t short of approaches. Battery startups, BESS firms, and ESS players came knocking with some regularity. For a while it got a wee bit annoying.  I wasn’t looking to re-engage until Sai called.

The more we talked, the clearer it became: Nyobolt isn’t doing what everyone else is doing. Their fast-charge energy storage technology sits in a performance category of its own, capable of delivering the rapid, high-power response that modern applications demand, from AI data centre infrastructure to Physical AI applications (Robotics & Humanoids) and other high-power industrial applications requiring near-instantaneous energy delivery.

What sealed it for me wasn’t just the technology. It was the team. Sai and his global team are building something commercially serious not a science project in search of a market, but a platform already generating real-world traction across industries where energy delivery speed is the constraint that matters most.

If I was ever going to go back, it would only be with a company doing something genuinely innovative and exciting. Nyobolt is that company!
